Sam and Natasha celebrated their stunning wedding day at the beautiful Devon wedding venue and a new one for me, The Bucklands Tout-Saints Hotel. They travelled to Devon specifically to get wed near the coast while retaining the feel of a real English wedding, they didn’t fail to create the day they had dreamed of and worked so hard to put together.
A lot of family and friends had travelled from overseas for the wedding, mostly Natasha’s Family from France, I always love to shoot Devon weddings where the whole party travel as this means most people are on holiday, its extra special for everyone. The weather couldn’t have been any better, the sun shone all day and it was hot enough to keep everyone outside, perfect for some garden games and relaxing over ice cold drinks in between the formalities. This is is exactly what Sam and Natasha had hoped for, no rushing around, no pressure.
We even escaped for an hour with the wedding party to take a trip down to the beach for a fun photo shoot and a bit of couple time, again, exactly what had been planned. Holidaymakers and beachgoers looked in amazement as the wedding party strutted their stuff on the sand, some even joined in. There is always something special about taking the wedding out and about and seeing people’s reactions, it never fails put smiles on faces.
In to the evening, we took advantage of the grounds surrounding the house, Sam and Natasha were able to break away from the crowds, enjoy time together and I was able to capture some stunning images as the sun set, the perfect end to the perfect day.
Party time and once the croquembouche had been cut, it was on to the dancing. With entertainment being provided by The Swing Kings, the dancefloor never lost paced, there was plenty of jiving and a swinging and a hugging and a smooching going on. I ended up staying until quite late as the atmosphere was so good I didn’t want to miss anything, I hear it stayed that way until the very end.
Sam and Natasha crafted the perfect Devon wedding, if you were to describe how a Devon wedding should be, I think this is pretty much it. Amazing!!!!
